I was a kid when I first tasted a nashi pear, in the optimum conditions, fresh- picked wg h hile standing on a hill in the orchard of my uncle's farm. I did not like it much. FF to 2018 9 9: I bought some pretty "red lantern" pears, not knowing they were like nashu i i; they were not even nice stewed in sugar syrup!
